Movilidad Estudiantil is Universidad Iberoamericana’s Student Exchange office.

The office needed an identity and an advertising campaign promoting students to have an international experience.

The project was in collaboration with Maria José Noriega and Fernanda Arreguín.

Design challenge consisted in: Movilidad Estudiantil’s identity (logo and stationery materials such as filling forms, letterhead and an advertising campaign launched in March 2013 that is currently going.)

Design Research process:

Role play

We chose playing a 4th semester student who needed some information about student exchange.

Design process:

The process we followed to create the logo had three stages: individual sketching in a positive/negative technique, second stage was refining and the third one was digitalizing.

Findings:

Students want to study abroad but they don’t know who or where to ask. So they needed to have information available for them.

Concept:

Subways are very important when students travel, that’s their main transport and they get a lot of experiences.

Campaign Structure:

Our campaign had two stages; the first one was a teaser with “Your next stop” written in different languages and a QR code that explained the meaning of those words placed in cafeteria’s tables. To create interest and awareness.

Stage  two, Concept development and spreading, consisted in a video, magazine insertions and the first intervention of a public space on campus, where we had a subway map.
